MRS. GEORGE MESSERSMITH

Mrs. Lillie Sheffer Messersmith, 87, wife of George H. Messersmith, died at 3:30 p.m. yesterday at her home, Glen Rock R.D. 2.
Mrs. Messersmith was a member of the Shrewsbury Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are her husband; seven children, John Trout, York R.D. 8; Minerva E. Messersmith, at home; Mrs. Ida Emig, York R.D. 6; Mrs. Bertha Taylor, New Freedom; Mrs. Pauline Ehrhart, Dover R.D. 2; Henry Messersmith, Shrewsbury, and Mrs. Edna Edsall, York; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and four step-sisters, Mrs. Fred Grothey, Glen Rock; Mrs. Katie McCleary, Glen Rock R.D. 1; Mrs. Gussie Pascoe, Hanover, and Mrs. Minnie Harbold, York R.D. 7.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Bowser's Church of the Brethren, near New Freedom. The Rev. Samuel Lerew will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Joseph M. Baugher. Burial will be in Bowser's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
