PRENTISS - Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Saulters-Moore Chapel in Prentiss Prentiss for Charlie Martin, 87, of New Hebron, who died July 12, 1996, at Jefferson Davis County Hospital in Prentiss.
The Rev. E. N. Sullivan will officiate. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Simpson County.
Mr. Martin was a farmer for much of his life. He also worked as a barge hand and as a deck hand on the Mississippi and Ohio rivers for 5 years.
Survivors include his wife, Nettie Martin of New Hebron; four sisters, Catherine Shows of Mobile, Ala., Ella Hartzog of Silver Creek, Janie Bell Green of Monticello and Lillie Mae McIntosh of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Clyde and Joe Martin, both of Theodore, Ala.
Saulters-Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss is in charge of arrangements.
