Lester Lee Bell was an Auburn native and lifelong resident. He attended the local Auburn schools and later worked many years at DeWitt State Hospital, retiring as the laundry supervisor. His grandfather "Pike" Bell was a colorful and well-known pioneer and gold miner - Bell Road was named for him.
