I will always remember her gardening and making the outside of her home so beautiful. Her heart was just as beautiful. Now she is home with "Our Lord" making his garden more beautiful.
Phyliss T. Neale, 60 a lifelong resident of Walton, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2009 in the Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, following a short illness.
Phyliss was born in Walton, on September 26, 1948 the daughter of the late Horton and Florence (Tiffany) Tweedie. On May 7, 1966 she married Arthur "George" Neale at the Plymouth Community Church. Phyliss was a long time member of the Plymouth Community Church, and the Walton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Phyliss loved flowers, birds, and taking care of her family.
Phyliss is survived by her loving family, her husband, George, two sons: Joseph Neale of Clifton Park, NY, Randall (Carol) Neale of Masonville; grandchildren, Jaime (Jessie) Borst; John Janus; 1 great-grandaughter, Patience; three sisters: Arvella (Harland) Goodrich, Loretta (John) Davis, Thelma (Jerry) Brown, all of Walton, Mike and Sandy Tweedie, several nieces, nephews, cousins and the many friends she met along the way. She was predeceased by a brother, Carroll "Stub" Tweedie and a sister Marjorie Church.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday, July 31, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM when the family will be in attendance at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at the United Presbyterian Church, cors., East & North Sts., Walton, with the Rev. Bert More, officiating. Interment will follow in Walton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in Phyliss' memory may be made to Plymouth Community Church.
