Arthur McDermott, 74, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2009, in, Cleveland, TX. He was born Saturday, July 27, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio, to Connie and Catherine McDermott, both of who preceded him in death.
Arthur was also preceded in death by his step-father, Tyrus James; sister, Sue Brown; brother, Dickey McDermott.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife, of 30 years Verna Mc Dermott: daughters, Kathy Melvin and husband Jeff of Katy, TX, Marie Trigg and husband Sisto of Hitchcock, TX, Debbie Law and husband James of Sauslbury, TN, Cindy Bertok and husband Steve of Albany, NY, Connie Conners and husband Terry (T.J.) of Coco, FL, Shawna Lummus and husband J.T. of Shepherd, TX; son, John McDermott and wife Tammy of Shepherd, TX; brothers, Robert (Bob) McDermott and wife Nancy of Toledo, OH, Jack Dean and wife Melissa of Philadelphia, MS; grandchildren , Lee, Hollie, Chrystal, J.R., Anthony, Christian, Jessica, Jenny, Linda, Anna, Micaela, Katelyn, Christopher, Landon, Hailey, Devin, Kayla, Chance, Robbie, Kameron, Serena, and Braden; 12 great-grandchildren; special nieces, Francy, and Shannon numerous other nieces, nephews, loving family members and a host of friends. Visitation for Arthur will be Sunday November 22, 2009, 5-9 pm. Service for Arthur will be held at Neal Funeral Home, Monday, November 23, 2009 at 10:00 am. Interment will be Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. in the Houston National Cemetery, Houston, TX. Chaplain Bob Dunegan officiating.
