LINN GROVE, Iowa, Feb. 24 —(Special to The News-Herald) —

Funeral service for Nils Fuller, who died at his home in Linn Grove on Tuesday morning, February 17, were held from the Lutheran church in Linn Grove on Thursday afternoon of last week. The services were conducted by the pastor, Reverend K. C. Hatlen interment being made in the Barnes township cemetery. A large number of the old time neighbors and friends of the deceased man were in attendance at the services. The following obituary had been prepared and was read at the service.

"Nils Fuller was born near Oslo, Norway on March 17, 1853. Here he was baptized, instructed and confirmed. When a lad seven years old his parents died. As a young man he became an apprentice in a foundry where he learned the trade of a blacksmith, a trade which he followed as long as he was able to work.

On March 17, 1876, he was united in marriage to Miss Karen Olson,who preceded him in death January 10. Their union was blessed by eight children, four of whom died in infancy. In the year 1884 he emigrated to the United States where he arrived at Soldier, Iowa. Here he secured employment in a smithey. Later he was employed at Aurelia. Early in the year 1885 he came to Sioux Rapids. While here his wife and one child arrived from Norway. In the fall of the same year he moved his family to Linn Grove where he spent the remainder of his life. The departed with a very strong physical constitution until about a year .ago when he began ailing. Gradually his strength diminished.

He passed away at his home on February 17 at three o'clock a. m. He was then 77 years and eleven months of age.

The deceased is survived by two sons and two daughters: Oscar Fuller of Great Falls, Montana; Ole Fuller of Mitchell, South Dakota; Miss Sophia Fuller of Linn Grove, and Mrs. William Rutter of Aurelia. There are four grandchildren. Three brothers and one sister reside in Norway.
