She is survived by her husband H.J. (Friday) Hughes and her father Asbury Callaghan, both of Panhandle. She also is survived by an aunt, Eula Goodnight of Guymon, Okla., and 12 cousins.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.

PANHANDLE - Funeral rites for Mrs. Paulene [sic] C. Hughes, 58, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Alvis Cooley, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Panhandle Cemetery under direction of Poston Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hughes died at her home in Panhandle at 9 a.m. Wednesday. She was born May 23, 1906, in Panhandle and had been a life long resident here.
Surviving are her husband, H.J. of the home; and her father, A.A. Callaghan of Panhandle.
