Heart Attack Fatal For P. E. Carter

Funeral services were conducted at the Wynnewood View cemetery Tuesday afternoon for P. E. (Uncle Pete) Carter, 84-year old pioneer resident of Hennepin, who died Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the home of his son, Earl Carter west of Davis, after an illness of a few hours

Shortly before noon, members of the family went in search for Mr. Carter and found him in the yard among his bees where he had suffered a heart attack. He passed away a short time later.

Pastor Michael of the Pentecostal church of Paoli officiated. Burial was in the Wynnewood View cemetery beside the body of his wife, who died several months ago.

Born in Missouri, Mr. Carter had lived in the Hennepin community for 55 years. He is survived by his six sons, Lee, Fitz, and Ebb of Hennepin, Rev. Chas. Carter of Paoli, Earl of Davis, and Leslie of Duncan; and four daughters, Mrs. Ben Ealey of Hennepin, Mrs. Sue Rozelle of Ada, Mrs. Annie Nowlin of Joy and Mrs. Minnie Layton of Wynnewood.
