Services were Monday, May 13 at Arlington Community Church in Arlington for Anna C. Barton, 98 of Arlington who died May 10, 1991 at Sargent District Hospital in Sargent, Nebraska. Burial was in the Arlington Cemetery.

Anna C. Barton was born September 21, 1892 at Sargent, Nebraska. She lived at Sargent until 1914 when the family moved to Brewster, Nebraska. She taught in rural schools until her marriage when she moved to Arlington.

She was a member of Arlington Community Church and the Arlington Community Church Women; the Colby Extension Club for 68 years and was a member of the Arlington American Legion Auxiliary.

She married Arthur L. Barton June 27, 1923 at Blair. He preceded her in death April 10, 1981. She was also preceded in death by her parents, James and Cora Belle Merril Standard and a sister, Edith Jochim.

She is survived by two sons, Harold Barton of Arlington and Robert Barton of Fremont; a brother, Lawrence Stinnard of Brewster; a sister, Mary Stinnard of Brewster and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Dennis Wilkins, Derald Erickson, Virgil Pritzel, Douglas Barton, Alfred Petersen and Gregory Bubbert. Ruby House was organist. Shirley Schmidt was soloist.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
