Mrs. Margaret Wise, wife of Attorney Jesse H. Wise, died at the Allegheny General hospital, Pittsburgh, Friday evening, January 28, at 9:30 o'clock, following a two weeks' illness due to pneumonis and paralysis. Mrs. Wise was a daughter of George and Priscilla Barnes Wisecarver, and was born at the old Wisecarver homestead in Franklin township. She was united in marriage with Jesse H. Wise and for a number of years they resided in Pittsburgh. For the past few years Mrs. Wise had made her home in Waynesburg. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and was active in church and Sunday school work. She was also a member of the W. C. T. U. and an ardent advocate of the temperance cause. Beside her husband she is survived by two sons, George Wise, of Arizona, and Robert Wise, of Waynesburg. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Timothy J. (Avaidney) Wisecarver, of Waynesburg; Frank P. Wisecarver, of Pomeroy, Ohio; Mrs. Amos A. (Caroline) Allison, of Waynesburg, R. D. 3; Mrs. Benjamin F. (Nancy) Harrington and Miss Jennie Wisecarver, of Waynesburg R. D. 4.
