Funeral Services For Ray Woolf Held Wednesday
Funeral services for Leslie Ray Woolf, a long-time resident of Carnegie and community were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Christian church. Dr. Eulis Hill, Oklahoma City, officiated. Interment was in the Carnegie cemetery with Pitcher Funeral home in charge.
Mr. Woolf died Sunday, October 18, in the Wesley hospital, Oklahoma City, after being seriously ill for about ten days.
He was born July 26, 1895, near Post Oak, Missouri, and came to Oklahoma with his parents in 1902. They located on a homestead nine miles south and one-half west of Carnegie. In later years, Mr. Woolf bought a farm just a mile north of the homestead where he lived until 1949 when he moved into town. He continued his farming operations until he became ill.
He was married to Edith Wilson of the Alden community on May 3, 1916. Four children were born to them.
Mr. Woolf was preceded in death by his mother and father and a brother, Glen.
His survivors include the wife of the home at 13 west Fourth; one son, Leon, Carnegie; and three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Mans, Riverside, Calif., Mrs. Nadine Nickum, Stewartville, Minn., and Mrs. Wanda Lee, Mooreland, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Eulis Hill, and six grandchildren.
