Katherine Croisant was born October 3, 1921 at Saskatchewan, Canada to George and Joan (Stenhouse) Croisant. She attended Deragisch School north of Madison and graduated from Madison High School. Kate married Martin Hanneman on June 7, 1941 at Worthington, MN. They farmed near Rutland and later near Madison before moving into Madison in 1988. Kate was a bus driver for Bethel Lutheran Home, Evergreen Terrace and Madison Central School. She later was a hostess for the school lunch program. Kate was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, LeRoy Ladies Club, Needlecraft Club and Sprouts Garden Club.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: her parents; her husband in 2007; one son and daughter-in-law Bob and Bobbie Hanneman; four brothers, Ernest, Henry, Charles and Clarence Croisant; and one sister Agnes Schwenk.

SURVIVORS: include one daughter, Karen (Bob) Hemre of Sioux Falls; two sons, Donald (Carrie) Hanneman of Dell Rapids and Chuck (Eileen) Hanneman of Tacoma, WA; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and three sisters, Joan Cole of Biloxi, MS, Alice (Laverne) Schoeberl of Madison and Mabel Fritz of Johnstown, CO.
