Pam Jarman passed away July 4th, 2008 at Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital in Clackamas. Pam lived in St. Helens for thirty-one years and was a strong supporter of the St. Helens community. She was married to Gordon Jarman and together they raised three children: Gordy Jr., Geoff, and Jill, all graduates from St. Helens High School.
Pam was born in Glendale, California and moved to Oregon when she was six. She resided in Beaverton, Oregon and was a 1968 graduate of Beaverton High School. After graduation she earned her Associates of Arts degree from Portland Community College and graduated with a Registered Nursing License. Pam worked for Kaiser Permanente for 37 years until health reason forced her retirement in 2004. In her early years in St. Helens she was very active in her children's schools, volunteering and helping classroom teachers, and acting as a guest speaker giving health presentations including non-smoking, HIV and physiology. She was awarded the State of Oregon Health Volunteer of the year in 1987-88. When her children were older she was active as a St. Helens athletic booster and was always helping at wrestling tournaments and other athletic functions.
She loved her family and enjoyed camping, fishing, attending athletic events and celebrating family.
