Persia, or as my husband spelled it sometimes, Purrsia was a kitten we raised. We had found 3 litters of kittens in our barn & brought them in. One of the mothers, Oscee, was one of our "barn" cats that we knew from a kitten. She was incredibly sweet & loving so we brought her in with her 3 kittens. She nursed her litter & the other 2 just like her own. Persia was from one of the other litters; her mom was a Calico cat we called Cali.
*After raising all those kittens, Oscee got fixed & she lives the life of luxury w/my in-laws.*

We didn't find Persia a home which wasn't a big deal. This actually made my husband happy. He really liked little "3 spot" as he called her when she was a kitten.
She was mostly white with 3 black spots on her back, a black tail, black ears, & was so pink underneath her white fur on her belly.

She was probably one of the goofiest, silliest cats I have ever seen. She would run around the house like crazy, climb up the molding of our bedroom door & then sit on top of the door. She'd bat at you if you walked by or she'd taunt our 2 boys, Rath & Maltby. She would taunt the boys into chasing her around the house but carry on like they were killing her once she let them catch her.

When she was happy & purring she would drool. I never knew cats drooled like she did but her litter mates do it too. I woke up many times because I had felt something wet on my face.

Of her 2 litter mates, her sister Daisy, lives with my Mom & sister & her brother, Charlie, lives with my in-laws.
We have found out that Charlie has cancer so it kind of gives us an idea of what might have caused Persia's death.
Autopsies are just too expensive especially with the way this economy is.

When I found her she just looked like she was sleeping peacefully.
We had no indication that there was anything wrong with her. It was a total shock to come home & find her dead. I did know something wasn't right when I walked in the door by the way the boys were acting. They were always very protective of their sisters.
I realize that everything happens for a reason.

That night our oldest, Rath, meowed & cried for her all night.
