Mrs. Schleusner wife of Wm Schleusner, who was a voting member of the German Lutheran Church of this town, passed last rest last Sunday night about a quarter past ten o'clock. Many and severe were the pains she had suffered, not only dating this her last period of sickness, but also prior to it. Nearly all of her 35 years of life were passed in sorrow and tribulation, but now the Lord has finally taken her from this vale of tears to himself in heaven. Though we are filled with sorrow to think that the occurrence of this death partially breaks up the home--for what is home without a mother--we lift our hearts and hands in thanks to God for having delivered her from her continual sufferings. Our heartfelt sympathy however is herewith expressed for the wifeless husband and motherless children who have been left behind. May God counsel and console them in all their sorrow and soon again make them cheerful and happy.
Mrs. Schleusner was born at Tilden Park, IL, Dec. 12, 1875, and married 18 years ago. The family moved to near Hayward 6 years ago from near Bancroft, Nebraska, where the remains were taken by her husband, Tuesday, for burial beside their eldest child, Rudolph. A service was conducted by Rev. A.M. Wahl at the home.
Besides the husband there survive four children, William, Augusta, Edward, and Arthur; also her parents and four brothers and two sisters, all of whom live in Nebraska.
