Mrs. Hintz was born in Freeborn County, Minn., on Nov. 1, 1916.

She was a retired social services family advocate.

Survivors include son David; daughter Majel Root; sisters Elsie Brink, Ruby Weidenheft; brothers Einar Christianson, Norman Christianson, Ernest Christianson, Donald Christianson; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
