MRS. Dorothy Copeland McRoberts, 47, wife of Joseph Dan McRoberts, Mount Airy, N.C., died at her home at 7:10 pm Thursday, February 3, after a long illness.
Born in Carroll County, Mrs. McRoberts was a daughter of the late Frank Copeland and wife, Mrs. Emma Collins Copeland. Surviving, besides the husband, are four daughters. Mrs. Joseph Gwyn, Mount Airy, Mrs. Grady Collins. Pinnacle, N. C., Mrs. David Eversole, Max Meadows, and Mrs. John D. Lawson, Pilot Mountain, N. C.; four brothers. Charles Copeland, Dewey Copeland, Jesse Copeland and Shelby Copeland, all of Ivanhoe, and: three sisters, Mrs. Jonah McRoberts, Pilot Mountain Mrs.George Houck, Mount Airy, and Mrs. Eugene Wright, Ivanhoe. Funeral services were held at Indian Graves Baptist church, in Surry County, N. C., Saturday at 2:30 P.M. by the Rev. Carl Lackey, pastor of the White Plains Baptist Church. Interment was in the church cemetery.
