David Patton, 67 year old former Cushing resident, died Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Stillwater.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the Strode funeral chapel at Stillwater. The Rev. Melvin Young will officate. Bural will be at the Cushing Fairlawn cemetery with graveside rites to be conducted by the Cushing Masons of which Patton was a member. He was born in Hindman, Kentucky in Mar 22, 1886, the son of Robert and Mary Patton. He married Rosa Waller in March of 1913. Patton moved to Payne county in 1907, residing in Cushing until 23 years ago when he moved northeast of Stillwater. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Elmo Lee of Glencoe, and one son, Ted Patton of Glencoe; three sisters, two brothers, and eight grandchildren.
ADDL INFO: David Patton was the youngest of 11 children born to Mary "Polly" Gearhart Patton and Robertson Patton. All 11 children were born in Perry and Knott counties in Kentucky. David's parents and most of his siblings are buried in Kentucky. David followed his older brother, John Bud Patton, in moving to Oklahoma. Both lived in vicinity of Cushing, Payne County.`
