LONG BEACH -- Price Cain Jr., 63, of Long Beach died Sunday, December 27, 1998, in Houston, Texas.
Mr. Cain was born in Jackson, MS, and had been a resident of the MS. Coast for over 40 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Gulfport. He previously served in the U.S. Army and received the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Cain was the owner of Cain Insurance Agency for over 30 years (it was formerly Jackson, Taylor, Linfield-Cain Agency). He was a member of Professional Independent Agents, Gulfport Yacht Club and Windance Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his father, Price Cain Sr.; and his mother, Emily Watkins Capps.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen Cain of Long Beach; three daughters, Tonya Cain Schevers and Sissy Cain Gammel, both of Pass Christian, and Michele LaField of Dallas, Texas; two stepsons, Chip Holloway of Ridgecrest, CA., and Kevin Holloway of Los Angeles, CA.; a sister, Marguerite Cain Taylor of Gulfport; a brother, Michael Conner Gainey of Los Angeles, CA.; his stepmother, Vashti Ishee Cain of Jackson, MS.; four grandchildren, Lea LaField of Dallas, Bryce Lizana, Lealon Gammel and Lauren Gammel, all of Pass Christian; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be sadly missed by his Yorkie, Sophie.
The funeral service will be today at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Gulfport, where friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi.
The family prefers memorials to The American Cancer Society, 182-A Debuys Road, Biloxi, MS 39531.
