ARCADIA____Mrs. Carrie Knapp Phillips, 78, R1 Arcadia, died early this morning after an illness of five days.
A life resident of Hamilton County, she was born Dec. 11, 1886 to Daniel and Elizabeth Lorenz Knapp. She and Raleigh Phillips, who were married Sep 24, 1910, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1960. Mr. Phillips died May 10, 1963.
The deceased was a member of the Arcadia Methodist Church; the Dunbar Home Demonstration Club and the Boxley and Tipton Sister and Brotherhoods.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Holman, Arcadia; Mrs. clifford Hunter, at the Tipton Nursing Home and several nieces and nephews.
