Funeral On Monday For Harriett Snyder

ARCADIA, Apr. 17 -- Harriett Snyder, 61, passed away at her home in Arcadia early Saturday after a lengthy illness. She had been an invalid for the last twelve years.

Funeral services will be held at the Arcadia Methodist church at 2 p.m. Monday and burial will follow in the Arcadia cemetery. Friends may call at the Shaffer-Funeral Home.

Daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth (Lorenz) Knapp, Mrs. Snyder was born near Arcadia. She was married in 1910 to William C. Snyder and they lived on a farm west of Cicero until his death in 1938. She then moved to Arcadia and spent the remainder of her life there. She was a member of the Salem Methodist church, and active in church affairs until her health failed.

Mrs. Snyder had a cheerful disposition which won for her many friends, and during her long illness she displayed remarkable patience.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Phillips, Mrs. Lulu Hunter and Mrs. Ruby Holman, all of the Arcadia community, and two brothers, Otto Knapp, west of Cicero, and Ed Knapp, near Arcadia.

FUNERAL MONDAY FOR MRS. HARRIETT SNYDER

ARCADIA, Apr. 20 -- Funeral services for Mrs. Harriett Snyder were held Monday ion the Methodist church with many attending. Rev. Morrow of South Whitney, a former local pastor, preached, and was assisted in the service by Rev. C. H. Simon and Rev. Helsabeck. Mrs. Chet Hall sang, accompanied by Mrs. Don Hope. Pall bearers were nephews and relatives carried the many flowers. Burial was in the Arcadia cemetery, beside the husband. Many relatives from a distance came Sunday to pay their respects.
