Harold D. "Pete" Andrews, 84, of Bloomington, died at his residence Thursday.
Born October 6, 1917, he was the son of William and Olive (Walcott) Andrews.
He was retired in 1975 from Chrysler Corp. in Indianapolis, where he was a supervisor. He was a member of Post #18 American Legion in Bloomington. He was an Army veteran of WWII, where he served with the 35th Infantry Division.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty (Dungan) Andrews, whom he married in 1940. Survivors, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Jerry L. Andrews of St. Louis, MO, and Gary W. Andrews of Newport News, VA; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jack Andrews and Leon Andrews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Graveside services will be Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Knightridge Cemetery, where the American Legion and VFW will conduct military rites. Private family services will be at Day Funeral Home.
Day Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
