My grandma, Minnie (Slovacek) Musil, was the fourth child of Stepan and Anna (Adamek) Slovacek. Born in Caldwell, Texas. Her parents immigrated from Czechoslovakia to America in 1890. Moving to Sagerton, Texas about 1908. Minnie married Anton C. Musil August 31, 1917. They raised 3 daughters, Minnie Antoinette (Musil) Foyt, Annette Eileen (Musil) Culp, and Leona Louise (Musil) Thomas. Their son, Daniel, died at birth. My grandma, Minnie, made the best Kolaches and Bread and Butter Pickles! I remember the story about my grandma and the 6 foot rattlesnake. Luckily, she had her garden hoe handy. Love and miss you grandma.
