Thomas E. Doyle, Jr. 81, residing on Osborne Road, South Bend, IN. passed away after a brief illness at 6:36 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2005, in the emergency room of Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. South Bend. Mr. Doyle was born on September 7, 1923 in South Bend to the late Thomas E. and Emma Belle (Sellers) Doyle Sr. He had remained a lifelong area resident. On September 11, 1948, in South Bend, he married the former Patsy J Day.
Along with his wife of 56 years, Patsy, survivors include two daughters, Deborah (Denis) Hurley of Chesterton, IN and Cynthia (Stephen) Chmiel of Monticello, IL., one son Timothy (Ruth) Doyle of Plymouth, eight grandchildren and two brothers, James Doyle of South Bend and John Doyle of Borne Terre, MO. Two sisters, Marjorie Mulderini and Martha Moore and one brother Harry Doyle have preceded him in death. Mr. Doyle retired as a maintenance supervisor from Bendix Corp. after 38 years of employment. He served his country during World War 11 with the United States Army Air Corps. Mr Doyle was a member of VFW Post 360 in Mishawaka.
