Josephine Sahr was born June 24, 1904, in Granite Township, MN, to the late Paul and Margaret (Boser) Hoheisel. She married Nicholas Sahr June 24, 1924 in Lastrup. Together they lived in the Pierz area for 13 years before moving to Little Falls. She was a member of St. Mary's Parish.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Sahr and wife Beverly of Little Falls and Melvin Sahr and wife Rita of Little Falls; son-in-law, Reinhart Brausen of Little Falls; daughter-in-law Francis Sahr of Little Falls; brother-in-law Clarence Brausen of Pierz; sister-in-law, Clara Hoheisel of Pierz; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Nicholas; parents; son, Jerome; daughter, Lavern Brausen; eight brothers and three sisters.
Honorary bearers were Christian Mothers.
Casketbearers were Tom, Dave and Ron Sahr, Dennis Brausen, Shirley Halls and Sharon Johnson.
