The death of Mr. Benjamin Musser, which occurred at his home in Salunga about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, removed one of the most prominent and highly respected citizens of East Hempfield township. Mr. Musser was in the sixty-eighth year of his age, and for the past fifteen years had lived a retired life in Salunga. In former years he was one of the leading farmers in East Hempfield. He was an active Republican, and for a number of years held the position of school director in that township. His wife, Maria, who is the daughter of Martin Nissley, of Sporting Hill, and four children survive. The children are Martin N., who resides on the old homestead adjoining Salunga; Annie, wife of Joseph Cassel, merchant, of Landisville; Barbara, wife of Abraham Cassel, farmer, near Sporting Hall, and Mary, residing at home.
