Mrs. Diggs, 73, was a homemaker and a member of Acona Methodist Church.
Services were held Monday from the Acona Methodist Church with Rev. Oscar Twitchell officiating and Rev. Mariam Brantley assisting. Interment followed in Acona Cemetery Southern Funeral Home was in charge.
Mrs. Diggs, wife of the late Walter E. Diggs Sr., is survived by a son, Walter E. Diggs, Jr. of Tchula; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Britt of Lexington and Mrs. Bettie McCammon of Maryville, Tennessee; a brother, Clarence Minyard of Lexington; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Aubrey Pierce, J.M. Tidwell, John R. Ellison, Milton Parrish, Bryant Parrish, and Jack Chisolm.
