Ethelene Guy Robinson Cox, 88, of Waycross died Sunday night (Dec. 27, 2009) at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Washington County, Alabama to the late James and Nancy Coxwell Guy and lived here for most of her life. Mrs. Cox was mostly a homemaker for her family and was retired from Swain Manufacturing Company as a Manager. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband in 1962, James Calvin Robinson and her second husband in 1985; one son, James Willis Robinson; one daughter, Helen J. Neugent; one grandson, Talmadge William Neugent, Jr.; six brothers and 2 two sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Ann Goldman and her husband Gene, Millry, AL; two sons, William B. Robinson and his wife Thelma, Millry, AL, Bobby R. Robinson, Waycross; a son-in-law, Talmadge William Neugent, Sr., Waycross; ten grandchildren, Calvin Neugent and his wife Meria, Waycross, Debbie Taylor, Waycross, Lisa Roberson, Waycross, Greg Goldman and his wife Lesa, Millry, AL, Terri Seawright and her husband Mike, Waynesboro, MS, Missy Rowland, Gulfshores, AL, Sheila Herron and her husband Mark, Birmingham, AL, Sandra Gail Yates and her husband Lance, Birmingham, AL, Sherri Duncan and her husband Johnny, Gulfport, MS, Vicki Hartley and her husband Hal, Nashville, TN; 14 great-grandchildren, Vince Neugent, Jake Neugent, Mary Ann Chaney, Butch Roberson, Britney Roberson, Blake Roberson, Sydney Goldman, Lindsey Seawright, Storm Seawright, Joseph Hill, Autumn Brooke Yates, Casey Clements, Jordan Hartley and Sydney Hartley; four great-great grandchildren, Austin and Evan Chaney, Anslee and Kayden Neugent and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 11 am at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Kettle Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
