Mrs. Anna Whitworth, widow of the late James F. Whitworth, a prominent citizen of Sorento passed away at their home, August 10, 1918, aged 49 years and 24 days.

Mrs. Whitworth was born July 17, 1869 in Montgomery County the daughter of Henry Saathoff. Her mother died a number of years ago.

She was married to James Whitworth and four sons and four daughters survive. They are George of Sorento, Grover of Wilson, Illinois, Marcus of the U.S. Navy, Earl of Sorento, Mrs. Della Koewn of Glen Carbon, Mrs. Frances Johnson of California and Mrs. Margaret Brown and Fern Whitworth of Sorento. She is also survived by her father, six brothers, Henry, Ira, John and James of Sorento, George of Camp Gordon, Georgia and Jim Saathoff of Litchfield, and by two sisters.

Interment was in Sunnyside cemetery.
