Elma married Henry Alfred “Tookie” Ardoin on May 28, 1949 in Orange County, Texas. They had four children: Roger Dale, Barbara Elaine, Ronnie Earl and Larry Wayne. They built a beautiful home and raised their children in West Orange, Texas.
Elma devoted her life to her children and later, her grandchildren as well.
She passed away on May 31, 1995 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Her funeral was held at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas and she was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange, Texas, less than a mile away from the home in which she had lived for so many years.
