Cricket Black, 77, Goochtown, died Wednesday, June 17, at the home of her daughter, Dorothy Babel, in Cincinnati, Ohio, after a short illness.

The daughter of Iola Gaston Adams and George Harvey Adams, she was born July 30, 1903, in Pulaski County.

She was married April 9, 1924, to Ansel Black, who preceded her in death Aug. 5, 1975.

She was a member of the Goochtown Church of Christ.

Survivors are two sons, Sterle Black, South Charleston, Ohio, and Herlie Joe Black, Eubank; three daughters, Mrs. Babel, Dorris Woodley and Thelma Davis all of Cincinnati, Ohio; four brothers, Estel Adams, Eubank, Will Adams, Norwood, Ohio, Walter Adams, Lancaster, and Chester Adams, Stanford; five sisters, Lucy Smith, Muncie, Ind., Bertha Whitter and Laura Kidd, both of Eubank, Lilly Todd and Rosie Padgett, both of Waynesburg; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday, June 20, at 1 p.m. at the chapel of the Morris and Hislope Funeral Home, Science Hill, with Bro. Austin Mobley officiating.

Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery.
