MARJORIE LORRAINE HOUSTON was born August 18, 1900, the first born child of Harry Watson Houston and Mabel Elsie Niles-Houston. Marjorie grew up on the Houston farm and graduated from Kasson High School.
She met Marvin Curtis Tweite and they married August 22, 1921. They had five children: Marvin in 1922, Robert in 1925, Mabel in 1926, David in 1931 and Bonnavieve in 1932. Marjorie had a stoke very young, so the family had women helping with the children.
Marvin and Marjorie farmed in Kalmar Township. Marjorie died on Sunday, January 4, 1942 at the age of 41 of heart failure. The funeral was held at St. John's Lutheran Church on Friday with Rev. R.T. Moen officiating. Pallbearers were Harley Houston, William O'Brien, Ervin Jensen, Elmer Leqve, Herbert Opfer and Arthur Prescher. Burial was in the Houston family plot in Maple Grove Cemetery, Kasson, Minnesota.
