Miss Maude Gillett

Funeral Services for Miss Maude Gillett, who died Saturday evening at her home, were held this afternoon at the Gillett home, 933 Fulton street, with the Rev. Victor Nearhoof, officiating, an interment was in Elmwood cemetery.

She was born Oct. 10, 1874 in Oswego, N. Y., and moved to Milwaukee with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Gillett, attending schools here. She came to Antigo over sixty years ago with her parents and they lived in the town of Rolling before moving to Antigo. She entered nurses training at Riverside hospital in Wausau, returning to Antigo before completion of her course to care for her father, who became ill. Her mother died while they lived in Milwaukee and her father preceded her in death 12 years ago. She nursed in many homes in the city and the hospital here. In ill health for three years, she had been seriously ill for only two days preceding her death.

Surviving are her brother, George C. Gillett, with whom she has made her home at 933 Fulton street, for over fify years; and two cousins, Perry T. Gillett of Antigo and Mrs. Gil Maney of Post Lake.
