OBITUARY Iron River Reporter Oct 19 1994 "Obituaries: Opal Parker Logan"
CASPIAN-Opal Parker Logan, 85, died Oct. 12 at the Iron County General Hospital.
She was born July 5, 1909 in Olive Hill. Ky. The daughter of the late Nelson and Bertha Jarvis attended the Olive Hill Kentucky schools. She married Dolph Parker in 1925 and he preceded her in death. She later married Russell Logan and he preceded her in death in 1958. She was a member of the Cornerstone Bible Church, Ypsilanti. She moved to Iron County in 1974. She was also preceded in death by a son Ronald Logan; a daughter Carol Olson; a brother Herbert; and three sisters, Audrey, Madge and Arthy.
She is survived by six sons, Dolph Parker Jr. of Caspian, Haskel Parker of Iron River, Rev. Ben Logan of Ypsilanti, Larry Logan of Warren, Jack and Donald Logan both of Kenosha, Wis.; seven daughters, Helen DeLong of Lansing, Hazel Johnston of Port Charlotte, Fla., Juanita McPherson of Iron River, Janet Smith of Stambaugh, Rosemary Young of Marine City, Donna Cosand of Caspian and Penny Haas of Belleville; one brother Orval Jarvis of West Portsmouth, Ohio; one sister Hazel Bentley of Garrison, KY; 237 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held Oct. 15 at Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.
Funeral services were held Oct. 16 at the funeral home with the Rev. Ben Logan, son, and Rev. Mike Jefferson officiating.
Pallbearers were Jack Grifka, Rickey Grifka, Bill Young, Nathan Haas, Joseph Parker and Joshua Logan, all grandsons.
Burial was in Stambaugh Cemetery.
