An Obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum," Thursday, December 6, 1973:

Mrs. C. G. (Josie) Wilson died last Thursday morning in the local hospital. She was 79.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Scott's Funeral Home chapel and were conducted by Chaplain Howard Porter and Rev. W. E. Smith.
Burial was in Restland Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson was born March 13, 1894, in Bremond.
She married Charles G. Wilson, a farmer, on July 4, 1911. They moved to Coryell County in 1940.
Mr. Wilson died in 1950 while the couple was residing in the Flat community.
Mrs. Wilson lived in Killeen from 1950 to 1955, when she moved to Gatesville.
She was a member of the Live Oak Baptist Church.
Surviving are six sons, Horace D. Wilson of Mathes, C. G. Wilson of Johnson City, Raymond Wilson of Killeen and Woodrow Wilson, Joe Wilson and Wayne Wilson, all of Gatesville; three daughters, Mrs. Lorene Smith of Lampasas, Mrs. Marie Turner of Bertram and Mrs. Evelyn Plant of Killeen; 28 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Lucy Mae Johnson, in 1936, and by a son, John Edward Wilson, in 1971.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Wilson's funeral were Arden Poole, Charles Wilson, Carl Wilson, Mike Wilson, James Albert Wilson, Dwight Turner and Paul James Plant.
