Son of William Grooms & Hannah Hayslip. William was son of Abraham Grooms & Margaret Satterfield. Abraham was the first Grooms, in Adams County. The section that Mahlon is buried in, is where all of the primitive and unmarked graves seem to be. It is also very near the site of the original church, which burned.
