Burials, 1911 -- Mrs. Theresia Schroeder nee Jung died in faith on April 10, 1911. She was born in Lagro Tp., the daughter of Philipp Jung and his wife, Appolonia nee Schwarz, on November 23, 1875. She enjoyed an especially good education so that she was fluent in both German and English and cultivated this extensively in her life time. She was confirmed by Pastor Eisen on Palm Sunday, 1884. Her mother died May 16, 1893. Since then, she had kept house for her widowed father. She was married December 26, 1895, to Gottlieb Schroeder. This marriage produced 7 children, 4 boys and 3 girls. Four years before her death, she had a cold, which soon developed into lung consumption (TB). Her strong will to live probably helped her to live longer than could normally be expected. She was bedfast for almost a year, but remained the central point of the household, especially in daily devotions. It was her hearts desire to live until her oldest son's confirmation, and this was granted her, she died the day after with a smile on her face at the age of 35 years, 3 months and 17 days, and leaves her grieving husband and her 7 children, the oldest 14 and youngest 6 years old.
