Margaret Johnston, age 82, of Prescott Road, Bourbon County, Kentucky, retired Bell South plant manager and clerk, wife of Charles Clifton Johnston, died Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at her home. She was born March 5, 1927, in Estill County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Ezra and Ella Jones Blakemore. Margaret was a graduate of Estill County schools. She was a member of North Middletown Community Club, Bell South Pioneers and North Middletown Christian Church, where she was a member of Circle 5.

She is also survived by: a daughter, Janie (Roy) Baber, of Paris; two sons, Charles "Butch" (Monica) Johnston, of Paris, and Perry (Tina) Johnston, of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Jackie Baber, Ashley Baber, Haley Wood, Josh Vance, Jacob Vance and Keith Lancaster; three great-grandchildren, Henri Baber, Will Wood and Elise Lancaster; a brother, Edward Blakemore, of Winchester; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, at North Middletown Christian Church by Rev. Robert Silvanik, with burial in North Middletown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Charles "Butch" Johnston, Perry Johnston, Roy Baber, Billy Wood, Keith Lancaster, Josh Vance and Jacob Vance. Honorary bearers will be members of the Ceramic Class at North Middletown Christian Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the North Middletown Church Disabled Access Fund.
