OLAH, AUGUSTA BROWN
Albany - Augusta "Gussie" Brown Olah, 85, died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at
Hammond Rehabilitation Hospital. She was a native of Head of Island. She is
survived by three daughters, Mitzi Grantham of Denham Springs, Linda Harris
of Albany and Kathy Kreko of Hammond; one son, Bobby Olah of Albany; two
sisters, Hilda Berteau of Ponchatoula and Winnie Anderson of Springfield;
seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death
by her husband, Andy Olah; an infant daughter, Diane Olah; one son, Andy
Olah Jr.; seven sisters, Elsie Hamilton, Mary Threeton, Alice Pertuis,
Katherine Guitreau, Celestine Matherne, Josephine Aime and Niata Guitreau;
one brother, Edgar Brown; and her parents, Frederick and Theresa Vicknair
Brown. The Rev. Leo Guillot conducted a Mass this morning at St. Margaret
Catholic Church, Albany, and burial was in the church cemetery.
