Vina Blevins, 93, of Wabash Healthcare, Wabash, IN, died at Wabash County Hospital Sunday, April 27, 1997. She was born May 23, 1903 in Knotts County, Kentucky, to Andrew and Sarah Ann Tackett. She married Frank Blevins Dec. 1, 1927 and he preceded her in death June 25, 1995. She had served as a cook at Peabody Home.
She is survived by sons Estill Blevins and Elmer Blevins, both of North Manchester, and Charles Blevins of Portsmouth, OH; daughters Mrs. Betty Perry of Omar, W. Virginia and Mrs. Danny (Minnie) Nickels of North Manchester; 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Two sons preceded her in death.
Friends may call at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary today (Wednesday) from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 1, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary with the Rev. J. P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
