SUICIDE AND DROWNING ARE NOT FAR APART
Byron, Nebr., Aug. 11. - (AP) - Henry Abelbeck, young farm hand, working for his brother, August Abelbeck, near here, was found shot thro' the head late yesterday. He was lying not far from the farm home.
The physician attending him is reported to have said he cannot recover. He has been in poor health and the theory is advanced that the shooting was the result of a suicidal attempt.
He is 28 years old, unmarried and came from Germany about a year ago.
Not far from the scene of the shooting the same morning, Cecil, 12 year old son of Mrs. Mabel Jones, a widow, who conducts the Byron hotel here, was drowned in a swimming pond on a farm. The body was recovered.
