U.S. Veteran Hiram Coxwell, 80, of Live Oak, Fl passed away Monday December 21, 2009 in the Shands at U. Of F. hospital, Gainesville, Fl after a long illness. The Covington county native moved to Live Oak, Fl in 1971 from Salt Lake City, Ut. Mr. Coxwell worked in construction was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and was of Assembly of God Faith. Survivors included: Betty Coxwell, Live Oak, Fl; One daughter: Jennifer Martin, Nevada; Two sons: Billy Martin, Live Oak, Fl and Steve Shirah, Sylvania, Ga; One sister: Evelyn Thompson, Lake City, Fl; Two brothers: Phillip Coxwell, Merritt Island, Fl and John B. Coxwell, Jacksonville, Fl; Five Grandchildren and Twelve Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services were held 2:00 pm Wednesday December 23, 2009 in the Daniels Memorial Chapel with Mr. Bob Fletcher officiating. Interment followed in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
