Josephine Cantrell a former resident of Henryetta residing in Cleveland, Ok passed away on January 18, 2010 in Tulsa at the age of 63. Born July 26, 1946 to Joel and Goldie (Fisher) Thornton. She married Kenneth Cantrell and was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, Parents, Brothers; Frank, Nolan and Owen Thornton and 2 sisters; Delores Peoples and Francis Meeks. She is survived by sons Kenneth Cantrell of Checotah and Frank Cantrell of Cleveland, OK; daughter, Vera Talbot of Catoosa; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Leon and Robert Thornton of Kellyville, OK, Charles Thornton of Leonard, OK and Rocky Thornton of Nuyaka, OK; sisters, Lola Surrell of Wenslow, AZ, Jennie Bowles of Henryetta, Judy Christie of Beggs, Kathy Thornton of Mounds, Ruby Roberts of Okmulgee, and Mary Cantrell of Henryetta. Wake service will be Thursday Evening January 21, 2010 at the Tallahassee Indian Baptist Church (11242 Cecilia BerryhillRd) in Okmulgee, OK. Service will be 2:00pm, Friday, January 22, 2010 at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the New Senora Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
