Louise Glaser Argo, 93, of Union City, formerly of Hickman, Ky., died 10:45 p.m. Jan. 13, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.

A memorial service was held 2 p.m. Saturday at Strong Funeral Home in Hickman, with the Rev. Henry Callison officiating. Burial followed in Hickman City Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis or the charity of the donor's choice.

She was born Aug. 2, 1916, in Fulton, daughter of the late Osceola and Daisy (Sams) Wolberton. She was the widow of Charles "Charlie" Rudolph Glaser and of George Argo and was a member of Hickman First United Methodist Church and the Hickman Homemakers Club. She had been employed at Roper Pecan Co. in Hickman, the former Dobson's Department Store and the Senior Citizens Center in Hickman.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Pam Glaser of Havana, Ill., and Paul and Charlotte Glaser of Gainesville, Ga.; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Beth and Floyd Wombacher of Peoria Heights, Ill.; two grandchildren and their spouses, Lori and Bob Harmon of Rome, Ill., and Bert and Jenny Wombacher of Peoria Heights; two great-granddaughters, Holly Volovitz of East Peoria, Ill., and Chloe Grace Womacher of Peoria Heights; and her sister, Marie Satterfield of Water Valley, Ky. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil Wolberton and Walter Wolberton.
