George Washington Rich, Hall county resident for the past 13 years died suddenly at his home in the Lesley community Tuesday. Funeral services were scheduled to be held from the First Baptist Church in Memphis this morning (Thursday), with Rev. Rev. ?eats, Rev. S.F. Martin, and Rev. F. Ivey of Abilene, and Rev. Lloyd Moyer conducting services.

Mr. Rich was born in Rockston [sic], July 29, 1884, and was 55 years five months, and 23 days old at the time of his death. He came with his family to the county ? years ago, and had lived in the Newlin community since ? until only recently, when the rich family moved to Lesley community.

Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Kelso-Womack Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, six daughters, Claris Leffew, Neva Dyer, Marie Leffew, Kathleen Rich, Bobbie Jo Rich, Betty Sue Rich; six sons, Vernon, Loris, Coy, G.D., and Dell Reed. Pallbearers at the funeral were Mr. Rich, Olin Neighbors, Carlton McAbee, Leroy ?, Wesley Maroney, Pat ? and Bud Rich.

In charge of the floral arrangements were seven nieces, Mrs. Bu??, Mrs. Odis Owens, ? Maroney, Mrs. George ?, Mrs. Wesley Maroney, ? Maroney, and Mrs. ?.
