Franklin, NC - Nellie A. Couch, age 83, of Haven Drive, Franklin, NC passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008 at a local hospital. She was born in Oconee County, SC, the daughter of William H. and Nellie Power Abercrombie. She was married to the late Eugene Couch who passed away May 09, 2005. She was a homemaker and a member of Union United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three sisters, Virginia Kuykendall of Hendersonville, NC, Allie Kelley of Waynesville, NC and Betty Lou Abercrombie of Hendersonville, NC; one brother, James H. Lewis of Florence, SC. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary A. Abercrombie and one brother, W.H. Abercrombie, Jr.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, June 29 at 2:00 PM at Union United Methodist Church, with Rev. Michael Binger and Rev. Thomas Coss officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a Charity of one's choice.
