GARLAND, Texas -- Marie Pauline Amos, 68, formerly of Bettendorf, died Saturday, March 12, 2005, in Garland.

The Rev. Ted Landers will officiate the services. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Amos was born Aug. 5, 1936, in Louisa County, Iowa, the daughter of Robert Arthur and Helen Leona Zumwalt Wendlandt.

She married Paul Eugene Amos July 4, 1954, in Cranston. He preceded her in death Oct. 12, 1983.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Lindquist Ford, Bettendorf, and later Huffines Auto, Plano, Texas.

Survivors include two children, Steven Amos and wife, Kristi, of Omaha, Neb., and Christine Amos of Garland; two grandchildren, Robert and Rebecca Amos, both of Omaha; two stepgrandchildren, Kyle and Trevor Alexander, both of Omaha; and a brother, Robert F. Wendlandt and wife, Jean, of Muscatine.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
