Services for Louise Martin Bales, 83, of Troup will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church in the Concord community near Troup. The Rev. M.E. Stutts will officiate.
Burial will be at Concord Cemetery under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home in Troup.
Mrs. Bales died Tuesday at a Tyler hospital.
She was born May 31, 1919, in Cherokee County. She was a retired shift supervisor for the Pillsbury Corp. in Indiana.
She returned to the Troup area in 1979. She was a member of Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Troup Chapter 421 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Bales was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Bales in 1979.
Survivors include her sister, Pauline Martin of Concord; brothers, David Martin of Jacksonville and James Martin of Dallas; stepchildren, David Bales, Sue Childers and Bonnie Mercum, all of Louisville, Ky.; five step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be George McDonald, Michael House, Kerry House, Caleb House, Phillip Hawkins and Brian Norman.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
