Adelaide Adams , 84, of Biernot Ave., died March 4, 1998, in Portsmouth.
Mrs. Adams, a native of Philadelphia, was a member of the Maduzia Family, which was one of the original families to settle the Sunray area of Chesapeake. She was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bowers Hill.
Survivors include a daughter, a son, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church by Father Leo Manalo. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, during which time a Christian Wake service will be held.
