Hagerstown, Md., April 24, 1856. He came to Decatur when a boy and this had been his home ever since. For many years he was employed as a compositor on The Decatur Republican when all type was set by hand. He was well known among the old residents of Decatur. He was a member of the First Methodist church and for years was a member of the official board of the church. He was always an earnest and active worker In the church and had a great many
friends. Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Louis Shade, of Decatur and Mrs. J. W. Jones of Springfield. He also leaves three brothers, William Tucker of Springfield, James Tucker of Chicago and
Howard Tucker of Chapin, Ill. The body will be brought to Decatur Tuesday evening and will be taken to the Dawson & Wikoff chapel to await the completion of funeral arrangements..
